Entry 4: Relationships

In a relationship, you have to be ready to date. What I mean by ready, is to be mature enough to know what you are doing in a relationship. I think you are the most mature at the age of 17 because you will know most of the things you need to know about relationships.

Relationships are the most healthiest when the people know what they are doing, that is why children should not date in the elementary schools as they are now. Dating in the elementary is wrong because the children do not know what they are doing and also they don't know what it means to be in a healthy relationship. These children think they know what they are doing in a relationship, but a healthy relationship is based on four words: love, commitment, obligation, and responsibility. These children are not ready nor mature enough to know what these words mean or to know how they are used.

In a relationship, the four most words you need to know are love, commitment, obligation, trust, and responsibility. These words need to be known because they are the four most important words. The word love means to have feelings for someone and to really to express yourself to someone. To be committed, is to be ready to be in a relationship and to be ready to express your feelings to your partner. If you're in a relationship out of a sense of duty or due to feeling like you owe your partner something, you're staying because of some form of obligation. Trusting someone means that you think they are reliable, you have confidence in them and you feel safe with them physically and emotionally. Trust is something that two people in a relationship can build together when they decide to trust each other. And last but not the least, to have responsibility in a relationship means to be ready to do your part in the relationship.

Those words are not meant for children to be in a relationship if they don't know what these words' meanings. Those words are mostly used in middle school ang on up for relationships. Relationships are the best when the people in the relationship know the meaning and know what they are doing.

Also in a relationship, girls would not like to have a boyfriend who is childish and plays entirely to much. I think this because if the boy does play to much, then the girl may not think of his as his age. While I am growing up, I hear people say " Act your age not your shoe size". I think boys or men should listen to the phrase and pay close attention to it to understand it. These days in a relationship, kids think they know what they are talking about but they just don't understand what it means to be in a relationship.

Entry 3: Hair

When I type in hair in google, I see pictures of white people showing their hair. I think this is a big problem because African-American people have good hair as well as whites.  In order for me to find blacks with their real hair, I would have to type in "black people real hair". This is a disgrace because we shouldn't have to type in "black people real hair" to see black people with their hair. Even if the whites get perms, that doesn't make the whites more beautiful than the blacks. Natural hair from the blacks are also very beautiful even though its not straight.

When I type in hair, I can about 2 to 5 African - American women. The majority of human hair used in wigs and extensions comes from India and China. I
f a black adds extensions to their hair, then I think that means they would like for their hair to be better. Weaved hair is very popular now but I think African - American women should wear their real hair but they don't. I think they don't because they see more people wearing weave or wigs or extensions. To me when the African-Americans wear their natural hair ( before getting perms) , they are being themselves. Perms are not the same for every African-American, because everyone has a different structure of hair. Perms are the not the best chemicals to ever use in your hair because perms damage the African-American hair on a scale from 75 to 100.

Having whites and no blacks show when I type in hair is a crazy thing. If you look at A'keirah's diary, you will read about how a black woman was stretching out her hair as if she didn't like it. But when I saw a white woman doing the same thing with her hair, she was looking at it as if she loved her hair and didn't want anything to happen to it. This didn't amaze me because whites "love" their hair so much. Also, in commercials the producers use mostly whites to buy hair care products. I think this should change because the blacks' hair also works good with the hair care products and the blacks have good hair as well as the whites.
