Entry 2: How Different Would My Life Be 6 Years From Now

At the age of 18, kids think life is all about being grown for instance, kids having children at the age of 12 through 16. When you are 18, life is not all about growing up to fast , life is really about graduating high school and getting a job. I will not try to be like the kids I know today. When I am 18, I will be ready to be my own, and try to be independent. I will try to accomplish as many things as I can such as a high school degree.

Six years from now,  I would like have my scholarship from high school. I would like to have a scholarship because I think that is the best way to get into a very good college. I would like to get my scholarship by being the Valedictorian or the Salutatorian. Even though I would have to make a speech for either one, I still would like to be the highest of my class or the second highest. I would like to be a Valedictorian because they are at the top of their class and everyone thinks I can become a Valedictorian. I also believe I can become a Valedictorian or a Salutatorian.

Six years from now, I would like to be in my first year at Stanford University. I would like to go to Stanford University because I think Stanford has some much to offer than education. Stanford has extra-curricular activities such as the Aerospace Business Club, Africa Business Club,  Arts, Media and Entertainment Club, etc. To me, I think Stanford has so much more to offer. To get into Stanford, I would like to have an IQ score of 144 points which means I would be gifted or very advanced. To get into Stanford, I would not like to get an IQ score of 89 or below. This score is not acceptable to get into a good college like Stanford or Harvard.

Entry #1: A Young Girl's Life in Clarksdale

As a young girl growing up in Clarksdale, I have always been taught to "Seize Your Moment". Life for girls has always been about seizing your moments. I believe that Seizing Your Moment is all about showing people the real you, and grabbing an opportunity . Seizing Your Moment will show everyone that you are yourself and you want to shine the way you would like to by showing them you can grab your moment. In Life, Seizing Your Moment will let you take an opportunity that will let you be yourself. For instance, I told my mom I am in a program where I can speak my mind. My mom told me to "Seize Your Moment" and when I heard those words I started to feel better.

Growing up in my town, I have also been taught to learn from my mistakes. When I was at my grandma's house, I accidentally cursed ( how does one accidentally curse someone out?) my sister out. Before I knew it, I was in my sister's room getting a whooping. When my mom was done, my grandma called me into her room. After my grandma called me into her room, she gave me a (think of an adjective that describes this talk) talk. At the end of my grandma's talk, she told me to "Learn From My Mistakes." After my grandmother said those words to me, I never cursed at any of my family members or at anyone else. Learning from my mistakes, help me to be a better person.

When I think back on these quotes, I realized my mother and grandmother wanted the best from me and nothing but the best. When I went back to read over my short paragraphs, I noticed everything they told me in these quotes were to better me and to be make me more successful in life. My grandmother and mother are making me more successful by telling me the rights and the wrongs in life. These quotes "Seize your Moments" and "Learn from your Mistakes" will better people in life.
