Entry 5: The "G" Word

Why do the LGBTQ community do not like being called by their sexuality? If you are any of the LGBTQ community, why would you feel targeted if your sexuality is out in the public? They do not like being called by their sexuality because the words are offensive especially the "g" word. To me the word "gay" is not a nice word to use. When people use the word "gay", others feel to get offended by their sexuality. They feel as if they might be getting targeted, or bullied. They feel targeted by the things people say and what people do to tease them. People also say the word "gay" because of what other people do to them.

The word gay is not an appropriate "title" to use because people have other choice of words but some people just use that word "gay" to make fun of others. That word describes some people and some people don't care but others should feel considerate of people's feelings. They way people use the word "gay", make others seem as if they aren't unappreciated. People should be appreciated for how others veiw their personalities and their mind-set for the future, instead of their sexuality. The people are being based on their sexuality because of the way their "friends" see them.
