Entry#9: MY TRIP TO WASHINGTON, DC !

My trip to Washington, DC was so fun and I met tons of famous people. My friends and I had so much fun together from driving to the airport and leaving the airport to go to our homes. So we went to Washington to go to an  event called "Girl UP Leadership Summit." We met people from other countries and we met the U.S. Senate from Nebraska, Arkansas, and Mississippi. We wanted them to help us carry out a law that girls in other countries could go to school safely and to live in places that are sanitary. We also went to the  National Museum of African American History and Culture and we saw a lot of amazing stuff about our culture, where we came from, and the Civil Rights Movement. We went to the National Mall and saw a lot of amazing museums. Then, we visited the World Bank where they keep and transfer money to other countries. Overall, we had so much fun but there were times when I was ready to go home but now, I REGRET IT.

Entry#8: Being An 8th Grader

Hey guys, I know I have been gone for a while but I am back now. Today, I am going to be talking about being an 8th grader. Being an 8th grader is fun but also stressful. You'll have challenging work and the teachers will get more tougher and tougher on you because next year, you'll begin High School. Right now I am in my 3rd term and I only have one more term until I transition into a FRESHMAN !!  8th grade has increased my vocabulary and helped my reading skills get better and better everyday. At my school, We have a new principal and he's very strict! He doesn't let us bring phones or apple watches to school. He makes sure we don't disrespect our teacher but if we do we'll get SUSPENDED! We have new rules that don't even make sense but I don't break a rule because I wouldn't want to get in serious trouble by the principal or my mom. But he's also kind, when he was helping out my reading teacher for a day and we wrote an essay he complemented me on how good my essay was. I have met new teachers and created a bond with people at my school that I have never thought I would create a bond with. My 8th grade year is going GREAT so far. I plan to make all A's on my report card before term 4. In the beginning, my 8th grade year was stressful but I managed to push through and I conquered my 1st and 2nd term. 8th grade
