Growing up as a young girl In Clarksdale, MS I was always taught to always think before I make a decision. For Instance, in the year of 2016-2017 a tragedy happened to one of my younger cousins and my mom was concerned about it. My mother told me to tell her if something atrocious like that would to ever happen to me, to always alert her before doing anything. My mom told me to always care for myself. Her and my father always wanted my younger sister and me to have it better than they did. This was so astonishing to me, through my young eyes to experience someone wanting me to do better for myself rather themselves.
Growing up, I didn't get everything I wanted, but I got everything that I needed. My grandmother, Margret taught me that life isn't about getting everything that you want, it's about working hard and building up maturity and good character to reach heaven. She told me that life wasn't a journey or a destination, but both combined. I grew up believing in Santa and the Tooth Fairy, and now that i'm older and I know the truth I feel bad. I see it as a big man with a white beard and with reindeers and a little person with wings and a wand getting all the credit for your parents doing. If I ever had kids I don't think I would tell them about Santa or the Tooth Fairy, it's not right.
I was raised with four different girls we all had different passions and we all liked different things. Jadia the oldest liked cheer, I liked to do contortion , Jameria liked to sing , Ari liked to dance, and jordan liked to flip. We all were family , like you and me, we accepted each other and all of our differences. To end this entry growing up in Clarksdale isn't easy but isn't hard. XOXO
